This year we're going to run our Tuesday and Thursday afternoon pole vault training sessions the same way we do up at the Hudson Valley Flying Circus.

The best high school, college and elite pro vaulters all practice proper warm-up routines and execute drills that teach running posture and mechanics, pole drop and plant and the swing to vertical at EACH PRACTICE.

To introduce athletes training at the Armory this season to the program, the Hudson Valley Flying Circus coaching staff is pleased to partner with the Armory to offer a FREE clinic from 3:00 to 5:00 on November 25th.
Please note that this clinic will be limited to high school coaches and athletes whose schools are signed up for the regular Tuesday/Thursday sessions at the Armory.
Athletes not training at the Armory are encouraged to review the Hudson Valley Flying Circus website (hvflyingcircus.com) for training options in Warwick, NY. Our staff is thrilled to help young people succeed and learn safe pole vault drills.

New Tuesday and Thursday Training Program:

This year's training program will again be led by Ben Simonet, 3 time Belgian National Champion and 2014 USA Masters 35-39 Age Group Champion. To minimize wait time on the runway and improve the training experience, athletes will be assigned to either a 3:00PM or 4:30PM session on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Training sessions will begin promptly and athletes will be expected to be ready to warm up at their assigned time. Coach Simonet will lead athletes through drills at each session, followed by open jumping.

Private/Semi Private Pole Vault Instruction at the Armory

Masters pole vault competitors and Hudson Valley Flying Circus and Armory coach Ben Simonet will be offering Monday and Wednesday afternoon instruction at the Armory to any athlete, whether he or she participates in the Tues/Thurs training session.

Lesson scheduling and payment should be coordinated with Ben Simonet ([email protected]).
